Yes and No. Having a valid passport makes it easier to travel to Mexico and back, BUT you can opt to bring your birth certificate and valid identification card to use as ID verification.
In life, you never really know what may happen…but you can rely on the Vacation Protection trip cancellation. If you need to cancel for some of the most common reasons (severe weather, illness, etc.) you'll get 100% of the cost of your trip back. If you need to cancel for any reason not listed in the plan — any reason at all — you'll get 75% back in a Future Cruise Credit Certificate.
It is customary for our guests to extend gratuities to the shipboard staff in appreciation for their hard work and exceptional service. 100% of your gratuities are distributed to the crew who you interact with, such as your stateroom attendants, dining, bar and culinary services staff, as well as others who work behind the scenes to enhance your overall cruise experience. Applying this charge automatically streamlines the recognition process and ensures our crew will share in your generosity. To help you plan, we have provided the recommended guidelines below: Standard Staterooms: $13.99 USD per person, per day Suite Staterooms: $15.99 USD per person, per day You may pay this daily gratuity in two different ways: PRE-PAY and SAIL AND SIGN
Gratuities can be added at the time of booking or anytime up to the sail date via the Carnival website using your booking number provided by United By 8 once full payment has been made.
Guests may also add their pre-paid gratuities via www.UnitedBy8.com as an Add-On. Login in; Go to CART, and purchase GRATUITY.
If a guest has not pre-paid the gratuities, the recommended per person amount will be posted to their Sail & Sign account on the second to last day of the cruise with a credit card. This is a requirement for all guests (except for guests under 2 years).
Yes, you can. Please note that they may conflict with United By 8 schedule. Carnival's Shore Excursion Program: https://help.goccl.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2854
* You can also opt to purchase an excursion with a travel guide once arriving to Ensenada.
You may choose your accommodations based on 4 criteria: Cabin Occupancy, Cabin Style, Cabin Location and Cabin Placement
1.) Cabin Occupancy: Single, Double, Trio, Quad
2.) Cabin Style: Interior, Exterior, Suite (Grand or Junior)
3.) Cabin Location: Front, Middle, Back (Aft)
4.) Cabin Placement: Basic, Standard, Deluxe, Premium
Cabin placement refers to the deck level of your cabin. A cruiser may select to be placed higher on the ship which adds a convenience i.e. less steps on your fitbit
You cannot select your specific deck; however, by choosing basic, standard, deluxe or premium, the deck level will move up accordingly.
Typically, middle cabins are best suited for minimum "rocking".
Please make sure to list any roommates you wish to have when registering. ALL members of your party will need to register on United By 8 website before we can officially berth your cabin on the ship.
ALL members of your cabin must select ALL criteria the SAME: Cabin Occupancy, Cabin Style, Cabin Location, Cabin Placement, and Gratitues. *Any discrepancies will DELAY the berthing process which can include increase in rate (due to Carnival Cruise price changes). **Any discrepancies will be adjusted to match the highest option selected.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to address assignments. As a courtesy, we can connect you to our Facebook group and you can announce that you are looking for a roommate. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your facebook handle.
We suggest double occupancy because finding one (1) cabin mates is easier than looking for 2 or more. If you're having a challenge to finding a cabin mate(s), we encourage you to wait on registering for the dance cruise until all has been finalized.
All you would need to be comfortable and READY for a weekend experience. Bring toiletries and other necessities.
Additional suggestions: Extension cord, satchel/backpack, cantene/refillable water bottle, air freshener/Poppourri,
Make sure to bring a combination of day wear (walk on the cruise deck), night wear (warm clothes), party wear (looking snazzy), and of course dance attire. Be on the lookout for our Themed Party announcement...can't wait to see the creativity!! What to Wear: https://help.goccl.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1093
Expect a few amenities similarly provided by a hotel. We recommend bringing your own.
